THE MASTER MEASUREMENT SYSTEM ON TRAILER

CLIENT'S INQUIRY

The mobile Master Measurement System, installed on a trailer, was developed for a client from Zimbabwe who had already acquired two Standard mechanical Measurement System from Silea towards the end of 2022. The client, mainly operating in airports, requested a flexible and easily transportable option.

A CUSTOMIZED SOLUTION

Initially, the idea was to mount the system directly on the rear compartment of a vehicle (in this case, a Pick-Up), but this approach presented limitations considering the access' restrictions at airports. The solution took shape through an equipped trailer, detachable from the towing vehicle, allowing flexible transport via any available vehicle at the airport or elsewhere.

DETAILED DESIGN

Its composition is characterized by an electronic Master Measurement System, with a BM650 meter (3 capsules, flanges 4") with a flow rate from 300 to 3000 L/min. Additionally, a POD and a Masterload XiQ computer from Liquid Control were integrated, powered by two 100Ah batteries. Manual valves at the system's inlet and outlet allow isolation, while quick Camlock fittings for two hoses with a lenght of 3-meter, divided in 2 hoses of 1.5 m length for an easy handling, and LJ flanges connect to the calibration system.

The design considered every aspect, including a specially created cabinet to store hoses once disconnected from the system. The trailer is equipped with a frame using a containment tank to prevent accidental fuel leaks. Moreover, a manual pumping system empties the liquid from the system, storing it in specific fuel tank, ready to be reintroduced into the plant.

THE SYSTEM'S EFFICACY

The project succeeded by positioning all the elements requested by the client on the trailer and ensuring optimal functionality. The innovation and efficiency of this solution have attracted the interest of other clients visiting Silea Liquid Transfer, sparking inquiries for similar devices.
In conclusion, its flexibility and practicality promise to be a significant breakthrough in the calibration and control of Measurement System field.
